ABOUT US

Since 2002, Sarah and I have been serving on staff at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC). During that time we have had the privilege of leading the body of Christ in prayer and worship. We have had the opportunity to encourage, disciple, and invest in young adults along the way by teaching Bible classes, leading small groups, and talking with young men and women about the Lord and life. As we have given ourselves to prayer and worship we have grown in understanding of who God is, who we are before Him, and how He feels about people.

At the age of twenty, I was studying to become a coach while fulfilling a childhood dream to play collegiate football. Over a two-week period the Lord turned my life upside down. I ended up moving to Kansas City, and little did I know that I would spend the next decade of my life serving the Lord in the House of Prayer. It was while serving at IHOPKC that Sarah and I met.

Sarah’s journey to IHOPKC began at age sixteen when she first heard of the prayer room. At that time she said in her heart, “I want to do that”. Three years later she attended the internship that led to her joining staff at age twenty-one. There have been many season changes through the years including marriage and children; through it all she has grown more confident in her calling to serve as singer in the House of Prayer.

Together we are called to walk out the great commission, making disciples of the next generation. We do this in context of a 24 hour 7 day a week prayer and worship ministry that exalts Jesus and ministers to people. IHOPKC is a missions organization that is committed to praying for the release of the fullness of God in the cities of the earth. We currently lead a worship team of young adults multiple times a week. In addition, I have the responsibility to supervise and give oversight to the prayer room in the afternoons. At IHOPKC, we want to minister to God by declaring His worth and to labor in prayer for God’s power to win the lost, revive the church, and transform society.

“…will not God bring about justice
for His elect who cry to Him day and
night, and will He delay long over them?
I tell you that He will bring about
justice for them quickly.”
